Entitled Mother Lets Her Kid Steal My Blind Cane — Waiter Takes Revenge on My Behalf

I asked my brother to type this story. Yesterday, I was entering a cafe when my cane suddenly hit something:

EM: “Hey! You hit my son!”Me: “I’m so sorry, ma’am, I didn’t see him.”

EM: “HOW could you not see him? He’s clearly right here!”

Me: “Ma’am, I’m blind.”

EM: “You’re not blind, you’re FAKING it! My son deserves to play with this more than you!”

And then, this little demon snatched my cane from my hands. I can barely move without it. A few moments later, someone returned the cane to me and the MOST interesting part started:”Ma’am, I’m really sorry about the inconvenience,” said a voice, “but we don’t tolerate such behavior here.”

It was the waiter, who had witnessed the entire ordeal. With a swift movement, he escorted the entitled mother and her misbehaving child out of the cafe, much to the shock of everyone present.

As the commotion settled, the waiter returned to my table, a sympathetic expression on his face. “I’m truly sorry you had to go through that,” he said softly. “Can I get you anything? On the house, of course.”

I thanked him for his kindness and declined the offer, but his gesture meant more to me than he could imagine. In a world where entitlement often goes unchecked, it was reassuring to know that there are still people willing to stand up for what’s right.

Leaving the cafe that day, I felt a renewed sense of faith in humanity, knowing that even in the face of adversity, there are individuals like the waiter who restore our faith in kindness and compassion.
