My son heard his mother screaming and the voices of strangers urging me to go home: what I discovered was beyond belief
When my son called me in a panic and told me that his mother was screaming and that unknown voices were laughing in our house, I ran home fearing the worst. But nothing could have prepared me for what was happening in my bedroom.
My day started out perfectly normal. I was clicking around on my desktop, trying to find a lost file, when my phone started vibrating with a text message. I looked briefly and realized it was Luke, my eight-year-old son. Turns out he had already tried to call me about 10 times.
That was strange.
Kids these days hate talking on the phone, so she was already scared when I called her back.

“Dad, please come home!! Mom is screaming!
“Slow down, friend. What’s happening?”
“Dad, I don’t know what to do. I just got home and now I hear mom screaming in her room!
“Why didn’t you go into his room?” I asked.
“I’m too scared to go in. I hear other voices there!
“Well well! Stay in your room. Close the door! I’ll call your mom,” I said, trying not to panic, and hung up.

I quickly looked up my wife Nikkie’s number, but the call went straight to voicemail. Excellent . That wasn’t like her. We had a son. We were never supposed to turn off our phones! So I made the decision to call the police in a split second as she picked up my purse and jacket and ran out of the office.
I told 911 that there were intruders in my house and to please get there quickly. Taking my car, I ran home, still calling Nikkie and getting more worried by the second. When I arrived, I saw that the police had not arrived yet.
But I couldn’t wait. In the back of my head, I thought the worst. Images of Nikkie’s tear-stained face rushed through me, and the other voices Luke had mentioned… well, something terrible must be happening to my wife in there.
For the first time in my life I wished I had a gun at home. We didn’t even have a baseball bat because Luke liked football and basketball. Finally, I decided that what awaited me inside I would have to face with my bare hands.

So I kicked the door open, not knowing what I would see. First, I heard a loud, piercing female scream. And second, I saw her face. The air left my body like a deflated balloon.
It wasn’t my wife.
It was her sister Diana, having a… let’s call it a “party” with two guys.
In my room. In my bed. Not exactly the family reunion you’d expect.
Right on cue, Nikkie walked in with cops running after her. The look on her face when she saw her sister was priceless. Her sister was the baby of the family and loved by everyone. Until then.
“Diana?! What the hell?!” Nikkie snapped.

My sister-in-law got out of bed, covered myself with my expensive sheets, and shrugged. “I thought no one would be home. “Having a little fun, that’s all.”
Yes, “fun.” In our bedroom. With strangers.
Why did he do this, you ask. Well, my sister-in-law is married and she decided that our house was the best place for her extramarital affairs. Apparently this had been going on for a while thanks to the spare key Nikkie gave him.
But this time, my son came home from school early after feeling sick. A teacher who lived nearby was kind enough to take him home while Nikkie made arrangements to have the rest of the day off work. Obviously, the teacher left thinking our child would be safe at her house. Yes, his house was supposed to be safe.
Officers observed the scene and spoke with everyone involved. I felt very embarrassed and apologized profusely for the misunderstanding. Still, it was two hours before they left, and then I went to Luke’s room and saw him cuddling with Nikkie.

My son was traumatized. Honestly, me too.
“So mom wasn’t in danger?” he asked, still unsure despite hugging his mother.
“No, boy. It was just that your Aunt Diana was being funny,” I assured her. “But don’t worry because we won’t see her again anytime soon.”
I looked seriously at Nikkie and she nodded. We officially had no contact with her sister, but I sent a warning text message to her husband. After all, he deserved to know what his wife was doing.
