This is probably the cutest thing you’ll ever see.
Frannie, a two-year-old, long-haired Chihuahua, from Chicago, USA, is a sweet pup that loves to spread joy and happiness everywhere she goes.
But, there is one thing in particular that she loves more than anything – her Postman, Dan.
She fell in love with him the first time she saw him, and the rest is history.
The Greatest Love Story
According to Lisa Laskey, Frannie’s mom, Fran fell in love with Dan the day after they brought her home. It was love at first sight.
Since that day, every morning, Frannie waits by the front door for her favorite person in the whole world.
As soon as she sees his USPS white truck pull up in front of their house, she starts squealing in excitement and her entire body starts to shake out of pure happiness.
“It’s a real, emotional connection,” Lisa told The Dodo.
Postman Dan has been delivering mail in this Chicago neighborhood for several years now, and everyone loves him.
He is always kind and diligent when it comes to his work, so it’s not a surprise that even canines adore him.
The day after Laskey adopted Frannie, she had gone out to retrieve her mail with her new pup in her arms.
Since Laskey knew Dan well, she stopped and chatted with him for a couple of minutes. That was the first time Fran and Dan saw each other.
“He got out of his truck and made all these googly faces at her and let her kiss him. And ever since that day, it’s like, now this must happen every day,” Lisa said.
And, sure thing – this quickly became their adorable daily routine.

“Frannie will just sit on her little bed by the door and watch — she knows the white truck. And when the truck starts coming, her little body starts to shake, and she’ll let out a little yap to let me know that he’s here. I try to grab my shoes and be ready for her, and I throw on her leash. As soon as he steps up to our mailbox, I’ll put her on the driveway and just let her rip. She runs down the whole driveway until she gets to him … and he’s just laughing — this just makes his day,” Lisa said.
Frannie spends her day looking forward to a visit from her best friend, but it’s also Dan who looks forward to seeing Fran on his route.
This little furry girl became the best thing that happened in his career. She brightens his day and his heart fills with love as soon as he sees her.
He loves her, too, and makes sure to show it.
Lisa, Dan, and their life partners also became really good friends because of Frannie. They love to hang out together.
Last year, when Lisa had to spend some time at the hospital, Dan and his wife took care of Fran, which she obviously loved.
“I think at this point, he’s happier to see her than she is to see him on some days. It’s really turned into a mutual friendship and special connection,” Lisa said.
Almost two years after their first encounter, day after day, Frannie still excitedly waits for a visit from her favorite postman, Dan, and there is no happier girl in the whole world than her at that moment.
