I’m Mia. She is a gorgeous puppy that was born with a distinct and unusual problem. She was born with two tails and five legs, which is a rare combination.
Owners of the dog could only care for Mia; they were unable to care for the puppy or cover the cost of her specialist therapy.
The Casas Cunas Animal Shelter took in the puppy and took care of giving Mia the best care possible. She will be dewormed because she is only two months old and has a big belly.
Mia has two tails that are near to her waist and a third paw. She has two anuses, two vaginas, and extra genetic issues that make her have to use her two anuses as urinals. She also experiences two nauseas.
Before the required medical operations can be performed, she need more precise x-rays and ultrasounds, so the shelter is currently in need of funds to help with her operation.
All of the puppies from Mia’s litter that are still alive have been adopted, and they aren’t all suffering from the same illness.
In 2021, a Skipper-named dog was seen by a doctor at Neel Veterinary Hospital. Believed to be Skipper’s twin, the puppy was born with six legs, two tails, two pelvic regions, and two reproductive systems. However, they were unable to fully separate.
Mia most likely had the same congenital defect from birth.
The first of Mia’s two procedures needs to be finished in five days. Mia continues to receive routine veterinary care.
According to her most recent examination, the puppy should have a long life, which is positive. Helping her now is difficult and expensive.
Mia’s story is being used by animal rights advocates to raise funds for her forthcoming operation.
