Woke actress says she’s ‘leaving America’

As the 2024 election looms, it seems that former President Donald Trump has solidified his position as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination. Despite, or perhaps in response to, ongoing efforts from the left, Trump’s popularity and poll numbers have surged, particularly among minority voters, posing a significant challenge for Democrats.

Incumbent Joe Biden faces competition from third-party candidate Robert Kennedy Jr., and speculations abound regarding Biden being replaced on the 2024 Democrat ticket. Biden’s age and apparent cognitive decline present clear concerns, compounded by a lack of viable alternatives within the Democratic ranks.

While rumors circulate about California Governor Gavin Nesom and Vice President Kamala Harris gearing up for potential runs, both are widely perceived as unsuccessful, leaving the left with limited options. Unless a surprise bid emerges, such as from Michelle Obama, the Democratic prospects seem meager.

This sets the stage for a probable Biden/Trump showdown in 2024. Anticipating a potential worst-case scenario for Democrats, including a second term for President Trump, some Hollywood celebrities have already begun discussing the possibility of leaving the country.

Recalling the unfulfilled pledges of numerous Hollywood liberals in 2016, Barbara Streisand has recently renewed such promises in the event of Trump’s victory. In an interview promoting her extensive autobiography, Streisand declared, “I will move. I can’t live in this country if he became president.”

The rationale behind Streisand’s reluctance to reside in America under a Trump presidency remains unclear, especially given the potential benefits such as increased border security, reduced crime, lower energy prices, and decreased inflation. However, these issues may be perceived differently by the regular American compared to the affluent Hollywood elite.

When pressed on her hypothetical destination, Streisand mentioned England, prompting many Americans to wish the UK good luck. Yet, it remains highly doubtful that she or others of her stature will genuinely follow through on these empty promises.

In a display of what some might term “Trump derangement syndrome,” Streisand expressed her admiration for Joe Biden, praising his compassion, intelligence, and support for what she deems as the right causes. However, these sentiments sharply contrast with the prevailing opinions reflected in polls, economic indicators, and the global standing of the United States.

Despite the evident challenges facing most Americans, Streisand, like many liberal Hollywood elites, appears out of touch. In her book, she deemed Trump “completely unfit” for the presidency while extolling Bill and Hillary Clinton as “the most appealing couple.”

In the event of a Trump victory in 2024, it remains to be seen whether these left-leaning individuals, who flirted with the idea of leaving in 2016, will finally follow through and become someone else’s concern in the subsequent year.
